My listening is very poor as well. i think the note-taking in week 6 will be my biggest problem in all tests. i totally can not concentrate on lectures if i have to take notes. anyway, even i do not have to take notes, i can not understand lectures.
what can i do with my listening? just listen to some english record even i do not understand it?

Do a lot of practice just listening to start with. Listen only to natural speech lectures/interviews but with a transcript (start with elllo.org). Follow the audio with the transcript, and concentrate on how words are pronounced in fluent connected speech. You must also pay attention to your pronunciation workshop lesson so you understand how the pronunciation of words by themselves are changed in connected speech. If you don't understand the transcript, then your problem is also vocabulary and grammar. Again the solution is heaps of practice but reading as well as listening. In one or twoo weeks you should listen without the transcript and note the important points..
